ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Your adventure begins with a morning briefing and a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. Known as the “Home of the Giants,” this park is famous for its ancient, massive Baobab trees and the largest concentration of elephants in North Tanzania. We will spend the day tracking herds along the Tarangire River, which acts as a magnet for wildlife during the dry season. This central region is world-renowned for its high density of big cats, particularly leopards that draped over the branches of acacia trees and lions that lounge on the iconic granite kopjes (rock formations). We will track the Great Migration (seasonal) across the golden savanna, witness massive herds of wildebeest and zebra, and observe the fascinating social behaviors of elephants and giraffes. Whether we spend the day near the Retima Hippo Pool or exploring the hidden valleys of the central plains, every turn offers a new photographic masterpiece. We return to the camp as the sun sets over the horizon, painting the sky in classic African hues.
