Arrival in Tanzania – Kilimanjaro Airport

Day 1
Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut
Begin your journey beneath a lush rainforest canopy, where exotic birdlife and Colobus monkeys thrive. Your first night will be spent at a cozy mountain refuge nestled deep within the verdant forest, just a short walk from the breathtaking panoramic views of the Maundi Crater.

Day 2
Mandara Hut to Horomo Hut
Leave the forest for the rolling moorlands. You’ll get your first clear views of the Mawenzi and Kibo peaks as you settle into the Horombo village of huts.

Day 3
Acclimatization Day at Horombo Hut
A vital rest day with option to take a short hike to the Zebra Rocks to help your body adjust to the altitude while enjoying the unique alpine flora

Day 4
Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut
Cross the “Saddle”—a high-altitude desert between Mawenzi and Kibo. You’ll reach Kibo Hut, your last stop before the midnight summit push.

Day 5
Kibo Hut – Summit – Horombo Hut
A challenging midnight ascent to the summit. After celebrating at Uhuru Peak, you descend back to Horombo Hut for a well-deserved night’s rest

Day 6
Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate
A long but steady descent through the moorland and forest. Collect your certificate at the gate before your Wild Empire Discovery driver transfers you back to your hotel
