Arrival in Tanzania – Kilimanjaro Airport

Day 1
Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut
Your expedition starts in the vibrant heart of the rainforest. Wind through giant ferns and ancient trees before reaching your first high-altitude cabin nestled near the scenic Maundi Crater

Elevation : 1,860m to 2,700m

Day 2
Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut
Rise above the tree line into the moorland zone. The path offers wide-open views of the jagged Mawenzi peak and the towering Kibo dome as you settle into your second mountain camp

Day 3
Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut
Cross the “Saddle”—a lunar-like desert landscape connecting the two main peaks. Arrive at your highest sleeping point early to prepare for the midnight summit push

Overnight: kibo hut
Day 4
Kibo Hut – Summit – Horombo Hut
The ultimate challenge. A midnight ascent through the scree leads you to the crater rim for a spectacular sunrise. After touching the summit, descend back to the comfort of the moorland cabins

Day 5
Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate
A long, rewarding descent through the forest. Celebrate your victory at the park gate where your Wild Empire Discovery driver will be waiting to take you back for a hot shower
